Blueswell, the Boston-based incubator that has been working with CIRT to accelerate growth, was featured in Forbes magazine for their work in advancing a sustainable economy. CIRT is part of Blueswell's second cohort of startups supporting ocean health, which includes companies working on fighting plastic pollution, environmental monitoring technologies, and advancements in aquaculture. CIRT is contributing to the blue economy by closing the loop on plastic pollution, which each year kills an estimated 100,000 marine mammals as well as millions of birds and fish.
