CIRT Co-Founder Dr. Jenna Jambeck has collaborated with other researchers to analyze the predicted growth of plastic waste through 2030. In the analysis, plastic waste levels as well as strategies for plastic waste reduction, waste management, and environmental recovery were measured for 173 different countries. With current government regulations, annual emissions may reach up to 53 million metric tons per year.
